The Saefern Community
Saefern [pronounced say-fern] is a community of 133 homes located on the Epping Forest Peninsula between Clements and Saltworks Creeks in Annapolis, Maryland. Saefern homes vary considerably in size and style but all are situated on wooded lots between 1.0 and 1.5 acres. The peaceful forested atmosphere belies the fast and convenient access to Annapolis and freeways to Washington D.C. and Baltimore. Clements and Saltworks Creeks provide deep-water access to the Severn River and the Chesapeake Bay. Saefern has many amenities including 134 boat slips at three dock locations, an outdoor pool, tennis courts and a horse stable.
The Saefern Saddle & Yacht Club
The Saefern community association is known as the Saefern Saddle & Yacht Club. Membership is open to all home owners for a reasonable annual fee which provides access to the docks, pool, tennis and pickleball courts, and stables with a dog park. Members' sail and powerboats have been accommodated in the past without the need for a waiting list. Stabling for horses is subject to availability. The Saefern community is very active with many social events throughout the year.
