For New Homeowners Moving to Saefern

Welcome to our wonderful neighborhood!

Now that you are a homeowner and hopefully all settled in, there are a few items we want to highlight for you.

Saefern is a waterfront woodland community between Clements and Saltworks Creeks. Saefern Saddle & Yacht Club (SSYC) owns the waterfront shoreline for all Members to enjoy. Some Saefern homes do front the water with non-riparian rights.

SSYC and its Members maintain the grounds and feature assets preserving your property value. Membership is highly encouraged. Membership provides you access to Saefern’s many feature assets: community docks with available slips, swimming and wading pools, fishing pond, tennis and pickle ball courts, dog park, walking trails and stables.

Saefern is unique also in our strong volunteer spirit. Our Members work together to maintain and beautify Saefern. This community spirit benefits all by keeping our annual dues the lowest in the area. Read more About Saefern at Saefern History

Of special note, SSYC is responsible for administering the architectural rules for all owners, Saefern Member or not. Please review these restrictions before making an improvement in your home or land.

Note to New Homeowners: If your seller was not a member of SSYC, please refer to the SSYC Bylaws for buyer obligations related to the payment of back dues.
